Human brain organoids as a novel tool for modeling of brain development and neurological disorders: Advances and challenges (Vortrag auf Englisch)

Dies ist ein Modul in der Session C beim
Weiterbildungstag Labor 4.0 für Technische Angestellte und Laborant*innen in den Life Sciences

Recently, three-dimensional human brain organoids have emerged as tractable experimental systems to study human brain development and function in vitro while retaining the cellular complexity and functionality of the fetal brain. This session will give an overview of existing methodologies, their advances and limitations. Moreover, the approach of the organoid platform at the Rajewski Lab of applying brain organoids as an experimental model to study brain function in health and disease will be introduced.

Dr. Agnieszka Rybak-Wolf, MDC
